4 Forms Of Kratom To Consider For Pain

Many people have found they achieve good pain management by incorporating kratom into their pain management regimen. Kratom can be found in diverse forms, allowing virtually anyone to find a form that fits their needs.

Dried Leaf

Dried leaf involves drying-out the kratom leaf and keeping it whole. To use this form of kratom, you must steep it like tea leaves. For maximum benefit, you should allow the leaves to steep for at least five minutes. The advantage of taking kratom in this form is it tastes better, although it is more time-consuming. Much like other forms of tea, you can easily adjust the tea to your liking. People typically add different types of sweetener, such as sugar or honey.

Powdered Leaf

Once the leaves are dried, they can be ground into a powder. The powder can be sold as is or be turned into pills. Most kratom is consumed as a powder. One advantage of taking the powder is it can be dissolved in water or other non-carbonated beverages and taken quickly. A disadvantage of the powder is the strong taste and depending on how finely the powder is ground, it may not dissolve as readily, especially in colder liquids. For this reason, some people opt for the pills. The pills eliminate the taste, but people who have a hard time taking pills will experience challenges because the pills are often large.

Stem And Vein

The leaf is not the only form of kratom, the stems and veins of the plant also have benefits. Much like the powdered leaf, the residual parts of the plant are dried and turned into a powder. Since the stems and veins have different properties than the leaf, it is worth trying in your kratom rotation. Some people find adding stem and vein to their usual kratom can enhance the benefits, such as relaxation and a reduction in pain. Some people also report temporarily switching to the stem and vein helps reduce their tolerance to the leaf.

Extract

Kratom can also be found as an extract, which is more potent than the traditional powdered form. The original powder is boiled to evaporate the water and what is left is a more concentrated powder that has more of the active ingredient relative to the amount of powder. Extracts can be found in several forms, such as small containers of powder, tablets, or liquids. The benefit of using extracts is they require less of the powder to achieve the same effects. This form can also be useful for people who prefer using the powder but want an easier and more convenient way of taking it. Less commonly, the extract from kratom can be found in vape juices, which can speed up the benefits of kratom since it reaches the brain faster.
